Soft but firm, memory foam seat cushion. Makes such a difference in your posture and is extreme comfort for long days at the office.

This is a large, lofty seat cushion that arrived vacuum sealed, folded in half. It took about 30 minutes to resume normal shape/size. There is no noticeable odor. It fits nicely in a large office chair. The memory foam is medium in firmness, giving adequate padding for both a 125lb and 200lb person. The 125lb user suffers from sciatica, and this cushion has eased some discomfort when sitting for extended periods of time. Used for 6-8 hours daily, this cushion compresses to about half of the total height, but resumes its full height quickly after getting up. Because of the added cushion height, the chair had to be lowered in order to fit under the desk while seated. The underside of the cushion is covered in non-slip dots so the cushion stays in place. The cover is sewn very well, with strong seams and a hidden zipper, allowing for removal and washing if needed. The solid black material is a stretchy jersey-like fabric, and attracts lint and hair (cat hair in this case) easily. Overall, we are very pleased with this cushion and the added comfort it delivers for long seated work days.

For the most part, I really like this seat cushion a lot. I find it works best for me when I use it on a flat, hard surface and that’s precisely what I wanted it for: as a cushion to use while I’m sitting down on a flat upholstered surface while playing guitar.
I haven’t tried it on my office chair yet but that chair is already very comfortable and supportive and I can sit on it for hours while working.
This cushion is nice and thick and reasonably firm so I don’t sink in to it too much like I do with some other cushions I’ve tried over the years.
Its design supports an upright sitting position for me by a contoured rise in the rear that presses into my butt uncomfortably if I’m not sitting upright. So, if you slouch, or if you’re using it in a chair that you like to lean back in, you might not like this cushion as much.
It definitely helps alleviate the lower back and leg pains I sometimes get if I sit and play too long.
It grips the velour surface I place it on very well and it even does a very good job staying put on finished wooden surfaces as well.

My husband and I share an office chair at home, and while I find it just the slightest bit uncomfortable, he finds it far less tolerable due to his complete lack of a butt. As he willingly admits, he's, "as flat as a board from neck to ankles." Sitting for him is an uncomfortable affair so trying to sit at the desk and work for hours on end devolves into a battle of pain tolerance in his lower back… this has changed the game for both of us. I was to the point of looking for a new desk chair even though our current chair is less than a year old. We tried a few DIY solutions, including stacking folded towels on the seat and wearing thick sweat pants, but nothing worked near as well as this cushion. I hadn't realized how uncomfortable I found the old seat cushion until I sat in this one and discovered how comfortable I could actually be while working, and my husband has no problems sitting for 3-4 hours consistently without needing to get up to take the pressure off of his back.
